Your ticket entitles you to one tour, and you may choose the departure time freely within the opening hours. Tours depart on the hour from the Lampivaara café, with the first tour starting at 11am.

1.6.- 16.6. Monday-Saturday full hours from 11am to 5pm
17.6. - 11.8. Every day full hours from 11 am to 17 pm
12.8.- 30.9. Every day full hours from 11 am to 4 pm
1.10. - 31.10. Tuesday-Saturday full hours from 11 am to 3 pm

Amethyst Mine tours start full hours and ticket is valid for one

Dig your own gem stone of Lapland, purple amethyst, during your visit to Amethyst Mine. On the top of Lampivaara hill you can admire maybe the most beautiful landscape of the area. During the storytelling moment you will learn about this fascinating stone and how it was formed more than 2000 million years ago.

Afterwards everyone may search and dig own amethyst stone and take it with as a memento. There is small amethyst shop on the site where you can buy amethyst products after the tour.

Duration of the program is about 1 hour.

MEETING POINT: Lampivaara café.
Nearest parking lot is Ukkoluosto parking lot (Lampivaarantie 3, 99555 Luosto) and from there it is 2,5 km walk to the café. The walk takes about 45 min.

MEETING TIME: Guided mine visit leave from the Lampivaara café hourly. You can choose which tour to attend with a ticket purchased online.
